Board of Deputies considering merging with Oldham Athletic Football club

The British Board of Deputies of Jews is reportedly considering merging with Oldham Athletic football club.

This may come as a surprise as it had looked like the BoD would be merging with traditionally Jewish club Tottenham Hotspur.

A spokesperson for the Board said ‘clearly if we merged with Tottenham or Arsenal a significant portion of the community would be upset and we can’t risk another split after Jewdas left us to join the Communist Party of Great Britain.’

The merger will create a new institution which is capable of fielding a team in League two as well as speaking out on issues such as BSD and community security.

A spokesman for the club said ‘clearly having Jewish money involved will propel us back to the Premier League’.
